A Journey Through Castles, Coastlines & Hidden Island Charms.

Scotland’s west coast is a place where lochs shimmer beneath ancient castles, fishing boats bob in colourful harbours, and island bridges lead to unforgettable adventures.
Our Wild West Coast Tour invites you to slow down and savour it all from the stately charm of Inveraray, through the lively coastal town of Oban, to the tranquil beauty of Seil Island. It’s the perfect blend of scenery, history, and authentic Scottish spirit.
Day 1 – Lochs, Legends & Mountain Views
Highlights: Loch Lomond • Rest and Be Thankful • Inveraray Castle
Your west coast adventure begins with a scenic drive from either Glasgow or Edinburgh, winding through the beautiful Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Pause for photos by the shimmering waters of Loch Lomond, before continuing up the famous Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint, where rugged hills roll endlessly into the horizon.
Arrive in Inveraray, a picture-perfect 18th-century town built by the Duke of Argyll. Explore Inveraray Castle, home of the Clan Campbell, with its grand architecture and lush gardens. Afterwards, take a stroll along the lochside or browse the local shops before settling into your chosen accommodation.
Overnight: Inveraray or the nearby Loch Fyne area
Day 2 – Castles, Loch Awe & The Road to Oban
Highlights: Kilchurn Castle • St Conan's Kirk • Oban
After breakfast, journey through some of the most atmospheric scenery in the Highlands. Stop to visit Kilchurn Castle, one of Scotland’s most photographed ruins, and the remarkable St Conan's Kirk, both standing proudly on the shores of Loch Awe. Continue west toward Oban, a charming harbour town known as the “Gateway to the Isles.”
Upon arrival, enjoy a leisurely afternoon exploring the waterfront, climb up to McCaig’s Tower for sweeping views over the bay, or sample a dram at the Oban Distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest. Dinner in one of Oban’s famous seafood restaurants is a must!
Overnight: Oban
Day 3 – Seil Island & The Bridge Over the Atlantic
Highlights: Seil Island • Easdale Island
Today brings a true west coast gem — the peaceful Seil Island, connected to the mainland by the tiny but iconic Bridge Over the Atlantic. Explore this beautiful island, known for its whitewashed cottages and sweeping sea views.
You might take the short ferry crossing to visit Easdale, the smallest inhabited island in the Inner Hebrides and home of the World Stone Skipping Championships (yes, really!), or enjoy a local seafood lunch overlooking the ocean. Return to Oban in the afternoon with time for a gentle coastal walk or relax by the harbour as the sun sets over the islands.
Overnight: Oban

Why You’ll Love This Tour
If you’re drawn to dramatic landscapes, friendly coastal towns, and the quiet romance of Scotland’s west coast, this tour is made for you.
Whether you’re tasting fresh seafood in Oban, exploring castle ruins by misty lochs, or crossing the legendary Bridge Over the Atlantic, every moment feels like a scene from a Highland postcard.

Day 4 – A Scenic Journey Home
Highlights: Loch Lubnaig • Hairy Highland Cows
After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time to begin the return journey. The route back takes us through more spectacular West Highland scenery.
Enjoy a final photo stop at the beautiful Loch Lubnaig and a visit to Kilmahog Woollen Mill to meet their Hairy Highland Cows, before returning to Glasgow or Edinburgh.
